Meet Ruby

Hi, I’m Ruby: a mother of six, a creative person and the face behind Ruby’s Corner. What you see here did not begin with a big business plan. It began as a hobby: something for my own children, a home for my ideas and a way to express my creativity.

It started with my own children

As a mother, I am part of the everyday world that inspires my products. Children bring so much colour, personality and fresh ideas. Being surrounded by that made me want to create and develop things myself. I wanted to explore the colours, shapes and combinations in my head, simply because it made me happy. There is something special about an idea that begins so close to your own family.

A hobby that gave me room to create

Ruby’s Corner grew from the enjoyment of creating. Having an idea, placing colours together, changing a combination and looking again until it feels right gives me real satisfaction. Alongside motherhood, it gave me space to work on something of my own. It did not have to become something big straight away; I just wanted somewhere for my imagination to go. I want that personal beginning to remain part of everything I develop for Ruby’s Corner.

From individual ideas to my own collection

Step by step, the hobby became my own brand. More ideas and products followed, with more opportunities to bring a design back in different parts of a collection. A smiley, a dachshund or a croissant can have its own character on very different products. I love it when you recognise a design and can match it with something else you already enjoy. That creates a connection across the collection while leaving room for different tastes.

Colour is part of who I am

Ruby’s Corner is allowed to be cheerful. I love colours that stand out, playful details and combinations that make you look twice. At the same time, not everything needs to be bright: beige, cream and softer shades also belong in the collection. What matters to me is character. From a bag or cap to a bottle or comfort cloth, each product should feel at home in the recognisable world I want to build with my brand.

Behind the scenes, I do the work myself

There is no big team behind Ruby’s Corner. I develop collections, choose colours and details, talk to suppliers and work through ideas with production partners. I also manage stock, process orders, maintain the webshop and handle the administration. I stay in touch with shops and replenish stockists, all alongside family life. A great deal of personal work goes into the product or parcel you eventually receive.

From my family to your home or shop

What started small and close to home now reaches other families, shops and online stores. You can discover Ruby’s Corner in our webshop, at stockists such as TICA and through Orderchamp. It still feels special when a business chooses to give my collection a place in its shop. I also support Private Label enquiries from people who want products developed with their own name, logo or design. I enjoy helping someone else explore their ideas alongside my own.

My hope is that Ruby’s Corner keeps sharing that original joy: wanting to create, choose colours and make something personal.
